A mysterious plague has swept Earth, and left the human, Violet Shaw the center of a deadly rivalry between the Vampeals Stryin Greymont and Jericho Ashfield. These two genetically engineered titans, each a corporate legend with a billion-dollar empire, are sworn enemies locked in a vicious struggle for dominance. But with Violet as the only thing standing between them and extinction, they are forced to confront an unlikely reality: they must share. 

In their hubris, humans tampered with the DNA of animals, looking for advancements to bring them into the next evolutionary state.  But the result, Citrians, were far more aggressive and unstable than any of them could have predicted.  Although the Vampeals they created next balanced the scales, the three races are at constant odds.
